Vintage (1970s) German (Metal) Railway Anschlußgrenze Boundary Sign

$78.00

This is an authentic German Anschlußgrenze (Connection Boundary) metal sign. It would be found near the connection switch (Anschlussweiche) that links a private track (like those serving a factory or port) to the main public line. It marks the legal and operational jurisdiction where responsibility for maintenance and traffic control shifts from the public rail operator (i.e. Deutsche Bahn (DB)) to the private owner.

The sign uses the old German spelling with "ß" (Anschluß) where modern German spelling, would spell the symbol with "ss" (Anschluss).

It was sourced directly from the region of Hessen, Germany & is likely from the era between the 1970s & 1980s.

Description/Condition:
The sign is flat, one sided, & with black lettering on a white background. It shows significant wear use consistent with long-term outdoor use at a factory or rail yard.
