This is an authentic vintage metal sign that displays the Coat of Arms of Czechoslovakia, specifically that which was designated as such from 1990 to 1992 following the Velvet Revolution which eventually led to the dissolution of the republic.
This particular sign (& its design) is from the transition period between the communist "Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (1960-1990) & the current form when the parliament peacefully dissolved Czechoslovakia as two independent countries, the Czech Republic & Slovak Republic (Slovakia) beginning 1 January 1993.
The transition period (1990-1992), Czechoslovakia adopted the country name "Czech & Slovak Federative Republic" which was born out of the Velvet Revolution in late 1989 and became their official name from 23 April 1990 until 31 December 1992.

The coat of arms is a quartered shield with a red background featuring, in the 1st & 4th quadrants, a silver, two-tailed roaring lion, rampant with golden claws, tongue, and heraldic crown (representing the Czech lion) &, in the 2nd & 3rd quadrants, a silver double cross on a blue triple-hill (representing Slovakia). The quadrants are demarcated by a silver line.
It’s a solid, medium weight metal sign with few imperfections but does contain standard age wear consistent with its age. Please review photos carefully.
