This is a post-period reproduction enamel German Red Cross advertising sign. The enamel sign text reads, "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" (German Red Cross) or DRK for short, specific to the Nazi era. Signs like these were used as wall plaques, often at hospitals or facilities associated w/the German Red Cross during WW2.
The "design" is of original origin but is not an original period piece; produced as a modern replica of an original. It was sourced directly from the region of Saarland, Germany...more than likely via an Eastern European country (Poland, Hungary, etc.).
The sign is convex with a covering of enamel. It’s a solid, medium weight piece presenting very little flaws; the "perceived" flaws are by design to enhance its "aged" appearance. Please review photos carefully.
