WW2 (USSR) Soviet 20th Anniversary Medal

The Soviet 20th Anniversary Medal, established May 7th, 1965, marks twenty years of victory in the 'Great Patriotic War 1941 - 1945'.

The medal was conferred upon all servicemen and civilians who served in the Armed Forces during WWII. It's estimated over 15 million were awarded.

Original Issue - Full Size Medal - Brass

Obverse: Dated (1945-1965) and presents the soldier-liberator monument (erected in 1949), dedicated to the soldiers who died in the Battle of Berlin.
Reverse: Russian inscription translates to: "Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War XX".
