Generational (USA) Coast Guard Achievement Medal - Original Issue

Established 1 April 1967 to those who display outstanding achievement or meritorious service in a non-combat capacity while performing duties in a responsible and highly professional manner.

Issued to any member of the United States Coast Guard, including Reserve Components, and all members of other branches of the Armed Forces when serving with Coast Guard units are eligible for this award whom meets the eligibility criteria.

Presented by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security or a high-ranking Coast Guard officer.
