This is an authentic historical German "Einbahnstraße" (One-Way Street) traffic sign, dating back to around the 1930s to 1940s.

Embossed metal - The raised, stamped lettering and borders give it that distinct tactile, three-dimensional profile characteristic of classic mid-century manufacturing methods.

Unlike modern rectangular blue indicators, this vintage traffic sign features a distinct embossed arrow shape with a red border and black typography. The tiny blue stamp visible in the middle top of the sign identifies it as a product of Gebr. Mayer, a manufacturer known for producing high-quality enameled and embossed metal signs during that era.

This particular sign was sourced directly from the region of Saarland, Germany.
