This is an authentic French vintage metal ashtray from the Chevignon brand with a retro aviation design. Chevignon is a French clothing company that produced these ashtrays to promote a brief venture in its own line of cigarettes. Primarily known for its aviation-inspired apparel, the cigarette line was only manufactured for approximately one year.
They were produced around the years 1990–1991 & the ashtray was sourced directly from the region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
Description/Condition:
Manufactured from a lithographed tinplate, it features a classic twin-engine propeller airplane in flight over the Chevignon logo. An alternative to ceramic pieces, this lightweight & durable ashtray was/is perfect for the 90s bistro/pub environment. The ashtray is in good condition w/some age wear at the underside.
