This is an authentic vintage 1960s U.S. Department of Defense, Civil Defense Fallout Shelter water survival barrel. These steel drums were manufactured as survival supplies for use in fallout shelters during the Cold War.
It holds 17.5 gallons of water & was designed to be used with a plastic bag liner for water storage and could also be “reused” as a commode.
