Established following the end of WW2 and continued through the Cold War; discontinued following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Founded by the Communist/Socialist State Council and conferred upon laborers and labor experts employed in the fields of agriculture, transportation, industry, or construction, recognizing extended service.
Recipients had to have previously been awarded a lower grade of the Oder to advance to the higher grades.
Earned in 3 classes:
1st Class - Gilt/Enameled
2nd Class - Gilt/Silvered/Enameled
3rd Class - Gilt/Oxidized/Enameled
