This is an authentic pair of WW2 Nazi Germany Luftwaffe flight gloves used by a pilot flying the Ju -87 Junkers “Stuka” dive bomber & ground-attack aircraft. These gloves are said to have been used (although not independently verified) during the attack (& Battle) of Fort Ében-Émael between Belgian & German forces from 10 to 11 May 1940.

They were sourced directly from the Flemish Region of Belgium, specifically in the province of Limburg.

In general, these gloves would have been used by Pilots & Aircrew & were most popular with bomber and reconnaissance crews.

Description:
Dark brown leather gloves with a gussetted cuff & leather strap w/press stud fastener at the wrist. The lining features a lambs wool fleece insulation.

Overall good and supple condition; standard age wear.

History:
The Ju-87 was designed by Hermann Pohlmann & first flew in 1935. It’s first combat action was in 1937 w/the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939) & it served the Axis during WW2 from beginning to end (1939–1945).
