WW2 (Nazi Germany) Luftwaffe Motor Vehicle Driver's Patch

This is an authentic WW2 Nazi Germany Luftwaffe Motor Vehicle Driver's Trade Badge (patch - cloth insignia) or in German, "Kraftfahrpersonal Tätigkeitsabzeichen". Introduced on 8 November 1935, it was for wear by all EM/NCO personnel who qualified (fulfilled the requirements) to obtain a military driver's license AND were appointed as a driver.

The patch was worn on the lower left sleeve of the service tunic and flight/field blouses.

Note: This badge is different than the Armed Forces Driver's Proficiency Badge, introduced 23 October 1942.

Description:
Made of Luftwaffe blue-grey wool base w/machine-embroidered silver/grey stylized Luftwaffe eagle superimposed on a vehicle radiator grill.

In mid-1942, a gilt cord piping was added to the perimeter of the patch for those identified as, "distinguished performance as a driver".
