WW2 (Nazi Germany) RARE Historical Souvenir Photograph Portfolio (14 Photos) - Obersalzberg

This is an authentic (& rare) historical souvenir photograph portfolio titled "OBERSALZBERG: 14 Innenaufnahmen vom Berghof" (14 Interior Views of the Berghof). The Berghof was Hitler’s private vacation home and second seat of government located on the Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, Germany. It was a heavily customized space where Hitler frequently spent time entertaining guests and close inner-circle associates during the early years of the estate's expansion.

The reverse of the holder:

Indicating these small postcard were probably sold as souvenirs at the Hotel Turken, which was located right next to Hitler's House.

Artifacts like this specific 14-photo interior collection were printed in the late 1930s as high-quality photo portfolios or postcard sets to showcase the architecture and interior design of the compound. Because the original villa was heavily damaged by Allied bombing in 1945 and its remaining structures were entirely demolished by explosives in 1952, item collections like this provide some of the only surviving visual records of the building's intricate interior layout.
