This is an authentic WW2-era porcelain bowl of Nazi Germany used in a Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) - German Labor Front mess hall; it was manufactured by Eschenbach Bavaria, indicated by its back stamp.
Plates like this was standard issue in mess halls and canteens, used by workers and staff during the period.
Markings:
- Sharply depicts the mobile swastika within a “gear” (the symbol for the DAF).
- there is no date stamp; the text type suggests production would have been no earlier than 1941.
- Manufacturers mark, Eschenbach Bavaria.
- The text "Modell des amtes Schönheit der arbeit (Model of the Office for Beauty of Labour).
Condition:
Made of high quality porcelain; produced with durability & design to withstand regular use. Maintains mostly its original polish throughout & contains standard age wear. For its age, it’s in excellent condition w/quite visible markings at the underside.

The Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) was the state labor organization which replaced independent trade unions after Adolf Hitler's rise to power.
