History:
The 1939 Italian 10 Lire holds both a historical and numismatic significance. They were issued beginning in 1935, during the Fascist regime of Benito Mussolini, a staunch Adolf Hitler Ally.

These notes serve as a reminder of the political and social climate in Italy during the 1930s under the Fascist dictator Mussolini, who pursued an aggressive expansionist policy while allying himself with Nazi Germany during World War II.

They provide an opportunity to hold a piece of Italian history that represents a time of political change and upheaval while sparking historical conversations & a glimpse into Italy's past.
