This is an authentic period, large-format hardcover album book publication of the Nazi Germany era titled, "Adolf Hitler, Pictures from the Life of the Führer". This 135 page album features detailed inscriptions of the public and private life of the Führer from the NSDAP’s successful election campaign of 1933 through to publication, supplemented by an array of glossed black-and-white photographs, of which customers would receive through the purchase of specific cigarette brands.
It was published in 1936 by the Cigaretten/Bilderdienst (Cigarette/Picture Service) Hamburg/Bahrenfeld. The images were curated by Hitler's personal photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann, and the artistic design was by O. H. W. Hadank.
Description/Condition:
A bound, card stock binding with an orange canvas liner bearing a gilt title on both the cover and spine. The title "Adolf Hitler" is printed in gold w/the old Fraktur script while the white spine bears the name Adolf Hitler, the number 15 (circled), and a swastika. The album demonstrates slight material fatigue but remains fully intact and includes all original photos.
The book is entirely written/typed in the old style gothic Fraktur script (banned in 1941) - In German language, including the cover and binding.
